ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENT & INTERVENTION

Dr Victoria Carr is now offering limited appointments for individuals seeking a comprehensive clinical assessment for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The assessment process includes clinical interview and the administration of a number of mental health screening tools. A comprehensive report is later provided to both the client and treating General Practitioner, as well as Psychiatrist, should exploration of medication options be desired.

Victoria can also liaise closely with a psychiatrist, while providing support to clients over the titration process. Once an optimal medication regime has been obtained, sessions can be provided to help the client manage residual symptoms.

Appointments are also available for parents or partners who are attempting to support their loved one who has a diagnosis of ADHD. Victoria has trained extensively on these conditions to maximise the benefits and minimise the challenges where possible.

CONCERNED ABOUT TELEHEALTH?

Recent research has suggested that there are no significant differences between In-Person and Telehealth groups for mental health outcomes.

We understand that the transition to Telehealth services may be a big change in your expectations of seeing a psychologist, but we continue to be committed to making this change as smooth as possible. Also, there are many benefits of Telehealth sessions, including (to name only a few):

  1. Improved Convenience; you don’t have to travel to an office.

  2. Reduced Costs; less time away from work, no travel/parking costs.

  3. Less exposure to colds/viruses, including COVID 19.

Appointment Cancellations

Please be aware that, as of 1 July 21, our policy regarding cancellations was updated. We now require a minimum of 48 hours notice. SMS notifications will be sent four days prior to your appointment. If you cannot attend your appointment, please email your psychologist ASAP to let us know, or a late fee may apply. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

PAYMENT OF INVOICES

We will be making some changes to the way we take payments for services provided over the coming year. This will include a conversion to the Stripe Payment System. The benefit of this will be in the automation and timeliness of payments, including faster rebates times for our clients! Our clients will be receiving regular updates and information about this development.

Please be aware that we continue to require payment of all invoices immediately after appointments. Non - payment of invoices more than 48 hours after an appointment may impact continued access to services.
